Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

rCodez is a software development company based in Accra, Ghana. We build web and mobile products for our own portfolio and for clients. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to rcodez.com only — the products we build (such as TextTango, Kingdom Vitals and FleetTrack) have their own privacy policies.

2. Information we collect

Contact form. When you send us a message we collect the name, email address and message text you provide. This is the only information the form asks for.

Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting infrastructure automatically records standard technical logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps. We use these solely for security monitoring and diagnosing problems.

Account data. If you register for an account, we store your name, email address and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store passwords in readable form.

We do not collect payment details, precise location, or any special categories of personal data through this website, and we do not buy data about you from anyone.

3. How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry and discuss your project.
• To provide and secure the website and any account you create.
• To keep a record of past conversations so we have context if we work together later.

We do not sell your information, share it with third parties for their marketing, or send you marketing emails you didn't ask for. If we ever introduce a newsletter, it will be strictly opt-in.

4. Legal basis

We process personal data in line with Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). Our basis for processing is your consent (you choose to send us a message or create an account) and our legitimate interest in operating a secure website and responding to business enquiries.

5. Where your data lives and who sees it

This site is hosted on servers in Europe, and we use reputable infrastructure providers to run it and to deliver email. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments; they don't get to use your information for their own purposes.

Beyond those service providers, we don't share your personal information with anyone unless the law requires it (for example, a valid legal request from authorities).

6. How long we keep it

Contact submissions are kept while they're relevant to your enquiry or an ongoing relationship with you. Account data is kept while your account is active. Server logs rotate automatically on a short cycle. You can ask us to delete anything we hold about you at any time — see section 8.

7. Cookies

This site sets only the essential cookies the Laravel framework needs to work: a session cookie and a security (CSRF) token. They exist so forms work and your session stays secure. There are no advertising cookies, no analytics profiles and no cross-site tracking.

8. Your rights

You can ask us, at any time, to:

• show you the personal information we hold about you;
• correct information that is wrong or outdated;
• delete your information;
• stop processing your information for a particular purpose.

Email support@rcodez.com and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.

9. Children

This website is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and revise the date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page rather than applied silently.
